Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solvent extraction method of Ga and In capable of efficiently extracting Ga and In while suppressing transfer of impurities such as iron, zinc and aluminum to an organic phase.
SOLUTION: A solution obtained through two-stage neutralization in a zinc exudation residue processing process in refining zinc is used as a solution for extraction containing Ga and In, the pH value of the solution for extraction is regulated to be 2.4 to 3.6, a chelate agent is separately added to an organic solvent, an organic solvent for extraction having an organic phase with an alkali earth element substituted for a part of proton of the chelate agent is prepared, and both solutions are mixed to extract Ga and In in the solution for extraction.
