To provide a soot particle removing device easily and completely removing soot particles in a soot cleaning vessel.
Soot 200 containing steam generated by mixing soot 100 sucked into a flue 15 from a combustion furnace 10 and steam blown from a steam blowing means is put into a state of supersaturated steam by lowering in a temperature, and the supersaturated steam is liquefied to form a thin water film layer on the surface of the soot particles contained in the soot containing steam. The soot containing steam is sucked into the soot cleaning vessel through a sucking opening 33 and is passed through water stored in the inside, and the soot particles covered with a thin water film layer on the surface are taken into the water, thereby the soot particles contained in the soot being removed.
