To provide a simple-structured sorting apparatus detecting and ejecting defective products with high accuracy.

This sorting apparatus comprises a detection part detecting defective products while carrying detection objects; an opening/closing part 9 formed to freely open or close a part of a detection object carrying passage (slanted plate 7) in the downstream side of the detection part; and a control part 13 opening the opening/closing part 9 when the defective products detected by the detection part are carried to the opening/closing part 9, dropping the defective products from the opening/closing part 9 for ejecting.
