Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of such situation that rotation is failed or disabled caused by grain oil entering a bearing part of an output shaft of an electric motor and being solidified therein.
SOLUTION: This sorting device of grain foods 1 has a porous sorting rotary cylinder 2 for sorting and removing grains whose sizes are not regulated such as fine grains and chipped grains from the grains to be sorted such as unpolished rice or polished rice installed in a device exterior body 6. An electric motor storing casing 11 storing an electric motor 10 for subjecting the porous sorting cylinder 2 to rotary driving is arranged in the device exterior body 6 with one end thereof being fixed to the device exterior body 6. On the side of one end of the device exterior body 6 to which the electric motor housing casing 11 in the device exterior body 6 is fixed, a receiving roll 9 for freely rotatably supporting the outer peripheral surface on the side of one end of the porous sorting rotary cylinder 2 is installed. The porous sorting rotary cylinder 2 is inserted so that it covers the electric motor storing casing 11 to freely rotatably support the outer peripheral surface on the side of one end of the porous sorting rotary cylinder 2 by the receiving roll 9. An axial center 13 on the side of the other end of the porous sorting rotary cylinder 2 is connected to an output shaft 12 of the electric motor 10 and is pivotally supported by a shaft 14 provided on the device exterior part 6. A top surface 17 of the electric motor storing casing 11 is projected to the side of the output shaft 12 to make it an appentice part 18.
