A sorting guide 21 is arranged under a first passage 1 and at a branching part of the first passage 1 and the second passage 2, and it is provided with a first guide face 21A and a second guide face 21B. By a sorting control part, on the ordinary work position, a paper sheet is guided to the first passage 1 being loaded on the first guide face 21A, and on the reject work position, the paper sheet is guided to the second passage 2 through the second guide face 21B. A support roll 22 is arranged between a cutter 11 and the sorting guide 21, it is contacted with the underside of the paper sheet discharged from a lower guide plate 12B, and it is forcedly driven so as to add feeding force to the paper sheet. A press-in air nozzle 23 can add press-in force to the upper face on the extreme end side of the paper sheet, so that the extreme end part of the paper sheet enters the second guide face 21B of the sorting guide 21.
