To provide a sound absorbing and insulating material with sound absorbing and sound insulating properties which is lightweight, superior in operability, and suitable as an automobile interior or exterior material etc.
Disclosed is the sound absorbing and insulating material formed by stacking a viscoelastic sheet of ≤3 mm in thickness and ≤270 mm in cantilever flexibility of JIS L 1096 which is substantially not air-permeable and a sound absorbing material made of nonwoven fabric obtained sticking wet nonwoven fabric or long-fiber nonwoven fabric of 30 to 100 g/m2 in basis weight, 30 to 300 μm in thickness, and 10 to 50 cc/cm2/sec in air permeability on at least one surface of nonwoven fabric of 200 to 1,000 g/m2 in basis weight and 5 to 30 mm in thickness.
