Abstract:
To provide a sound absorbing material for a vehicle lower part capa ble of effectively suppressing noise transmitting from a car outside to the car inside or in its reverse direction.
This sound absorbing material is mounted on the door lower part in the upper side of a seal member, which is attached to the lower edge in the outer circumference of the lower part of a door D for an automobile, elastically contacted with a body panel B and sealing the inside/outside the cabin, composed of a foam body 10 with specific gravity of approximately 0.05-0.4, and suppresses the noise. Among shapes of the foam body 10 are one formed with a plurality of projections 12 on its surface and one having a hollow part 13 in its longitudinal direction.
