Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high sound absorbing performance over a broad frequency region.
SOLUTION: The sound absorbing structure consists of porous metallic materials 1 of the foremost row on a front surface side, porous metallic materials 2 of a rear row internally arranged apart intermediate air layers 4 and further sound shielding materials 3 arranged behind the same apart rear air layers 5. These porous metallic materials 1 and 2 are all of an aluminum system and the surface density thereof is about 0.3 to 5.0 kg/m2 in order to obtain a preferably sound absorbing characteristic. The surface density of the porous metallic materials 2 of the rear row is made larger than that of the porous metallic materials 1 of the foremost row.
