PURPOSE: To provide a sound data processing circuit capable of evading the generation of audible harsh noise or the like even when a broadcasting sound mode or a sound output mode is switched.
CONSTITUTION: An output selection control signal transition detecting means 14 detects th existence of a change in an output selection control signal. When the output selection control signal is changed, a soft muting means 6 executes fade-out for gradually attenuating sound data to generate a mute state and then executes fade-in for restoring the sound data. A mute state detecting means 13 detects whether a mute state is generated by the mens 6 or not. In the mute state, a switching means 3 transmits the output selection control signal to a channel number converting means 5 and a speaker selecting means 9. The means 5, 9 switch the contents of sound data processing during the period of the mute state.
