Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound field processing apparatus and method by which a listener can obtain a symmetrical sound field well even when there is a reflection plane like a wall, etc., or the position of the listener is biased to one side.
SOLUTION: The sound field processing apparatus is provided with a sound field compensating means for generating a simulated return signal from a first or second input signal, a first mixing means for mixing the simulated return signal to the first signal, and a second mixing means for mixing the simulated return signal to the second signal. This sound field processing apparatus generates the simulated return signal from either of the first or the second signal, and mixes the simulation return signal with the first signal or second signal generating the simulated return signal.
