Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pick up a signal with a high S/N always at a same level regardless of a focal position where a sound source is in existence.
SOLUTION: With respect to an output signal of an i-th microphone 3i, a time delay is provided depending on a distance rik between a k-th focal point and the microphone 3i, and (1/rikm) (1≤m≤3) is multiplied with each signal and the multiplied signals are added, and the result of sum is normalized depending on a sum of power of direct sound components of the sound source located at the focal position and power of reverberation sound components included in the summed signals and the result is outputted. This is finally equivalent to use a multiple factor of gik=(1/√Ck)(1/rikm) for each multiplier 5i, where Ck is a constant.
