To provide a sound reproducing system that reproduces preferred sound pressure frequency characteristics (flat sound pressure frequency characteristics) even with the frequency incapable of directly determining the correction amount by a FIR filter.
The sound reproducing system for correcting the sound pressure frequency characteristics of sounds output from a speaker 4 by audio signals includes a FIR defilter 2 having a finite tap number and filter coefficient that correct the correction amount determined by the filter coefficient with respect to a sound pressure portion at each frequency determined by the tap number in the audio signals, and a resonating aperture portion 5b that is not only disposed on either of the front and rear surfaces of the speaker 4 but also connected to a cavity which either of the surfaces faces. Further, the system includes a Helmholtz resonating means 5 having a resonating frequency different from each frequency determined by the tap number, and resonating the resonance frequency by the output sounds from the speaker 4, so that the sound pressure at the resonance frequency in the output sounds from the speaker 4 is correctly enhanced by resonating the frequency.
