The sound absorbing/insulating structure is characterized in that hollow capsule bodies are put in a resin base material and a core material which is movable in a hollow capsule is put in the hollow capsule and has a ≤0.5 coefficient of restitution. The sound absorbing/insulating structure for automobile uses the sound absorbing/insulating structure at positions relating to a dashboard insulator, a ceiling base material, a floor insulator, a parcel board, a carpet, a food insulator, a trunk trim, a pillar trim, an engine cover, an undercover, a sheet or sheet cover, and arbitrary combinations of them.
