To provide a compact and lightweight soundproof wheel for a railroad vehicle capable of effectively suppressing the rolling noise in a relatively low frequency band.
The soundproof wheel for the railroad vehicle has a soundproof device 11 on an inner circumferential surface of a rim part 10a of a wheel 10. The soundproof device 11 has at least an added mass 11b part and an elastic body 11a part. The width W11a of the axle direction of the elastic body 11a part is smaller than the width 11b in the axle direction of the added mass 11b part. Though the soundproof wheel is compact and lightweight, the rolling noise in a relatively low frequency band can be effectively suppressed. This soundproof wheel can be applied to a wheel of a New Trunk Line train in which a brake disk is mounted on a plate part of the wheel, and any soundproof device has been hardly mounted.
