To provide a spare tire carrier apparatus in which a guide holds a spare tire correctly at a fixed position without damaging a disk wheel and avoids interference with surrounding components.

The spare tire carrier apparatus includes: a hanging plate 10e which is arranged at the tip side of a chain and on which the disk wheel of the spare tire 1 is placed; and a hoist 10a for winding up the chain. The spare tire carrier apparatus further includes; a guide member 20 which comes in slide contact with the hanging plate 10e when the chain is wound up and the hanging plate 10e is raised and moves the hanging plate 10e to such a direction that the spare tire 1 is parted from the vehicle components existing in the vicinity of the spare tire when the chain is wound up completely.
