Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly activate a spark ignition type gas engine under a high-humidity environment.SOLUTION: A spark ignition type gas engine includes: an ignition plug having an electrode arranged in a combustion chamber; a nozzle opened to the combustion chamber, and configured to inject compressed dry gas toward the electrode; a compressed dry gas passage configured to supply compressed dry gas to the nozzle; a compressed dry gas injection valve configured to open/close the compressed dry gas passage; and a controller configured to control the ignition plug and the compressed dry gas injection valve. The controller opens the compressed dry gas injection valve right before ignition timing when the ignition plug is driven to generate spark from the electrode, in activation of the gas engine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
