To provide a control device for a spark ignition type cylinder injection internal combustion engine, improving fuel consumption by accelerating combustion all over an operation region without being restricted by operating conditions or the shape of a combustion chamber.
The control device is provided for the spark ignition type cylinder injection internal combustion engine which has a fuel injection valve for injecting fuel directly into the combustion chamber 18, the used fuel injection valve being a variable injection property fuel injection valve 20 having changeable injection property such as a spray form, spray penetrating force or an injection rate. It comprises an injection property changing control means for changing the injection property of the variable injection property fuel injection valve, and an injection dividing control means for dividing the fuel injection from the variable injection property fuel injection valve into a plurality of injection periods in a range from an intake stroke to a compression stroke.
