Abstract:
To provide a spark plug for an internal combustion, capable of achieving a long life.SOLUTION: In a spark plug 1 for an internal combustion, a center electrode 3 is inserted into and arranged at a shaft hole 21 of an insulator 2. A first conductive glass seal layer 41 is arranged on a base end side of the center electrode 3 within the shaft hole 21. A resister 5 is arranged on the base end side of the first conductive glass seal layer 41 within the shaft hole 21. A second conductive glass seal layer 42 is arranged on the base end side of the resister 5 within the shaft hole 21. A terminal metal fitting 6 is arranged on the base end side of the second conductive glass seal layer 42, and blocks the base end part of the shaft hole 21. A resistance value between the terminal metal fitting 6 and the center electrode 3 is 1 kΩ or more and 3 kΩ or less. Besides, a porosity of the second conductive glass seal layer 42 is 1.4 volume% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
