Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent generation of a crack and chipping of a speaker diaphragm by manufacturing the speaker diaphragm from a film with moleculars orientated equally in a surface direction.
CONSTITUTION: A speaker diaphragm is made of a thermosetting resin having an optical anisotropic at the time of melting and molecules are oriented isotropically at least in face direction. The liquid crystal polymer of a total aromatic group polyester is adopted for the thermosetting resin. In this case, a film 1 is fitted to a retainer guide 2, and thermally formed by a vacuum forming device for the speaker diaphragm comprising a heater 3, a metallic die 4 and a vacuum pump 5. That is, the surface temperature of the film 1 is set to a lower temperature than a melting point of the liquid crystal polymer constituting the film 1 by the heater 3 and the inside of the metallic die 4 is made vacuum by the vacuum pump 5 to stretch the film 1 thereby obtaining the cone shaped speaker diaphragm.
