PURPOSE: To obtain a special fiber, excellent in shock and vibration absorbing properties and noise eliminating characteristics, capable of exhibiting effects even in a thin form and utilizable in a wide range of applications by constructing the fiber surface from a resin composition consisting essentially of an epoxy resin, polyamide resin and inorganic filler.

CONSTITUTION: The objective special fiber obtained by forming a resin composition containing at least 60wt.% resin composition consisting of (A) 100 pts.wt. epoxy resin, (B) 50-80 pts.wt. polyamide resin and (C) ≥40 pts.wt. (based on 100 pts.wt. resin composition) inorganic filler (e.g., graphite) on at least one surface of an organic fiber (e.g., polyamide-based fiber) and inorganic fiber (e.g., glass fiber).
