To provide specific chemical entities modulating skeletal myosin, skeletal actin, skeletal tropomyosin, skeletal troponin C, skeletal troponin I, skeletal troponin T, and skeletal muscle (including fragments and isoforms thereof), and skeletal sarcomere; and to provide the specific chemical entities, a pharmaceutical composition, and a method for treating at least one of obesity, sarcopenia, a wasting syndrome, frailty, cachexia, muscle spasm, post-surgical and post-traumatic muscle weakness, and neuromuscular disease.
Compounds are represented by formulas (I) and (II). Pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof are also provided. The compounds of the formulas (I) and (II) are not 1,5,6-trimethyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-b] pyradine-2(3H)-one or the like.
