Title:
SPECIFIC CONJUGATE FIBER WITH HIGH ANTISTATIC PERFORMANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5658008
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: Titled fibers that are composed of fiber-forming polymers whose cross section is occupied with sea-island structures by a specific proportion and a part of the structure contains an electrically conductive powder, thus discharging much electricity when a voltage is applied and having high resistance to chemicals and high durability.

CONSTITUTION: Chips of a polymer containing an electrically conductive powder such as carbon black I and of another usual fiber-forming polymer such as polyethylene terephthalate S are mixed and extruded through one gear pump. A single polymer Y is extruded through the other gear pump and the two melted polymers are combined at the spinning heat to produce the objective conjugate fibers in which 10W60% of the cross section is composed of sea-island structure X, 20W80% of X is a fiber-forming polymer containing an electrically conductive powder and the discharge currency is 10-8W10-3 A, when 10kV is applied.
