Title:
SPECIFIC GRAVITY MEASURING INSTRUMENT FOR LIQUID SUBSTITUTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01170832
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To use various kinds of liquid as a substitution material to easily detect the specific gravity of not only an adsorbent but also all solid materials with high precision and good reproducibility by attaching and detaching a sample vessel part consisting of a sample vessel, a narrow tube, and an L joint to and from the main body part of a device. CONSTITUTION:A sample vessel 1 can be heated and a narrow tube 2 is connected onto this vessel 1, and its upper part is formed to a male joint, and the lower end of an L joint 3 is connected to said joint. The upper part of the joint 3 is formed to a male joint and is attachably and detachably connected to the lower end of a vacuum cock 7 placed above the joint 3. This sample vessel part is coupled to a vacuum pump 12 and a vacuum gauge 14 through the cock 7 and a vacuum system 4 and is coupled to a liquid introducing narrow tube 19, whose front end is inserted to a reagent bottle 9, through a vacuum cock 8. Thus, the sample vessel part where a sample 16 to be measured is stored is detached from the main body part and the sample 16 is weighed without contacting air to obtain the weight of the sample. After this measurement, it is attached to the main body part and is substituted with various kinds of liquid in vacuum to precisely obtain the volume of the sample, thereby obtaining the specific gravity value of the solid material with various kinds of substitution liquid of high precision.
