Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific gravity sorting apparatus especially reduced in equipment cost and power consumption and shortened in sorting treatment time.
SOLUTION: When objects to be sorted being plastic broken pieces with a particle size of 5-20mm are charged in a water tank 3 filled with water 4 flowing in a definite direction by a pump 6 and partitioned by partition walls, the flowing distances of water by the flow water are different by a difference in specific gravity plastic of which the specific gravity is less than that of water such as polyethylene or polypropylene floats on water. Floated plastics are recovered by feed stands 10-13 carrying plastics out of the water tank 3.
