Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a spectacle hinge having sufficient strength without impairment of beauty even if the width between both end faces of temples and wraparound endpieces is reduced.
CONSTITUTION: A frame hinge member 3 has a first base part 7 fixed to the wraparound endpiece 2 and a pair of clamping pieces 9a, 9b formed in parallel, across an insertion groove 8 each other in this first base part 7. A first slope 14 which inclines and extends toward the respective end faces 2a, 2b from the outer side of both end faces 2a, 2b of the wraparound endpiece 2 nearer the wraparoupd endpiece 2 is formed in the first base part 7. An arm hinge member 5 has a first base part 11 which is fixed to the temple 4 and an insertion piece 12 which is formed in this second base part 11 and is inserted into the insertion groove 8 of the frame hinge member 3. A second slope 15 which inclines and extends, toward the respective end faces 4a, 4b from the outer side of both end faces 4a, 4b of the temple 4 nearer the temple 4 is formed in the second base part 11.
