Abstract:
To provide a spectacle lens which does not impair the effect of suppressing progression of myopia or hyperopia even in the peripheral area thereof.SOLUTION: A spectacle lens 1 is provided, comprising a first region for letting light entering from an object-side surface thereof exit from an eyeball-side surface to be focused at a given point A on the retina of a wearer, and a plurality of second regions having defocusing capability to focus the light at a point on the object side of the point A or a point deeper than the point A. In a peripheral area of the spectacle lens, corresponding to an area within a range of 4.5-25 mm radius from the lens center, at least some of the second regions are shaped to suppress variation in defocusing effect that appears with a distance from the lens center.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
