Abstract:
To provide a calculation method for obtaining three-dimensional shape data for forming a V block for spectacle frame insertion at a peripheral edge of a spectacle lens neither requiring many lens measurement data nor exerting an influence of an astigmatic axis of the spectacle lens.SOLUTION: A calculation method has the stages of: performing coordinate conversion on the frame shape to a coordinate system where a center of an approximate sphere of a spectacle frame shape is a coordinate origin; performing coordinate conversion on the frame shape to a coordinate system where the center of an approximate sphere of a spectacle lens surface is the coordinate origin, the center of the sphere is on a Z axis of frame shape approximate sphere center coordinates, and an intersection of a surface of a lens surface sphere and a prescription position (straight line) LN straight to a spectacle frame measurement plane passes the Z axis; and performing coordinate conversion on the frame shape to a coordinate system where the coordinate origin is an intersection of the surface of the lens surface sphere and the Z axis. The method comprises obtaining three-dimensional shape data on the frame shape after coordinate conversion for forming a V block on a peripheral edge of a spectacle lens.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18
