Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a spectacle frame which is superior in fixed holding force and has the durability against shock, by providing a toggle mechanism in lens holding parts.

CONSTITUTION: One end of a fastening rod 10 is stuck pivotally to one end of an acting member 12, and the other ends of the fastening rod 10 and the member 12 are engaged with an upper bridge 3 and a lower bridge 4, and one of these engaging parts, at least, is stuck pivotally so that it can be shaked freely, and the fastening rod 10 is provided with holding wings 11 projecting to the right and the left so that lenses 2 are held when the fastening rod 10 is placed in the fastening position. By this constitution, lenses are attached and detached easily only by turning the fastening rod 10, and the fixed holding force is very excellent when lenses are set; and even if the glasses frame is dropped or struck erroneously, there is no fear that lens holding parts are get loose and lenses slip off because lens holding parts are fixed firmly by the toggle mechanism, and thus, the durability against shock is displayed.
