Title:
SPECTACLES FOR WEAK EYESIGHT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5574513
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make the appearance similar to that of ordinary spectacles by making use of the optical system of Galilean telescopes.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of right and left main convex lenses 2 are fitted to the spectacle frame 1 to be held on the nose and ears. A hole of semicircle in section is formed in part of the inside surface of each thereof and a sub-convex lens 4 of a focal length longer than that of the main convex lens 2 is baked and integrated therein. At the same time, a pair of right and left hard contact lenses 6 being concave lenses formed with strong concave lenses 7 in the central part thereof are put on the eyeballs. With this arrangement, the main and sub-convex lenses 2, 4 become objective lenses and the contact lenses 6 and concave lenses 7 become eyepieces, thereby constituting a kind of Galilean telescopes. The appearance is the same as that of ordinary spectacles and when objects are seen through the contact lenses 6 and main convex lenses 2, they are slightly magnified. When they are viewed through the sub-convex lenses 4 and concave lenses 7, they appear strongly magnified.
