Title:
SPECTACLES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005128225
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To solve such problems that, when a weakly-sighted person wears visual acuity support spectacles, the need for a magnifying function as large as from about three to six times usually arises for the purpose of visual acuity support and since the wearer's visual field narrows as a result thereof, the wearer cannot perceive an object, such as an obstacle, existing off the visual field and there is a possibility of the collision of the face and the head against the obstacle.

The spectacles are configured to provide a frame 3 of the visual acuity support spectacles 1 for the weakly-sighted person with an obstacle detecting means 4 for detecting the presence or not of the obstacle and alarming means 8L and 8R which emit light generation and/or sound generation alarms based on the detection signal of the obstacle detector. As a result, the wearer is able to perceive the object, such as the obstacle, existing off the visual field and the safety can be improved.
