To provide a spectrometric unit and a spectrometric method that can perform wide-band measurement even when two optical frequency coms are asynchronous.SOLUTION: A spectrometric unit according to the present invention comprises: two optical frequency coms 11 which are different in optical com repetition frequency from each other; a band-pass filter 13 which segments bands having the same center optical frequency from the respective optical coms, one of them being for probe light and the other being for sampling light; an impulse response measurement circuit 18 which generates a first beat signal between the sampling light and the probe light passed through an optical fiber 50 to be measured; a continuous light source 20 which outputs continuous light; a reference frequency measurement circuit 28 which generates a second beat signal between the continuous light and the probe light passed through the optical fiber 50 to be measured and a third beat signal between the continuous light and the sampling light; and a control circuit 30 which controls operations thereof and performs computation on measurement results.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
