Title:
SPECTRALLY SENSITIZED DIRECT POSITIVE SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIAL SUBJECTED TO PREFOGGING PROCESSING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3493480
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a photographic material which has high sensitivity, is developable in the conventional surface developing agent without additional processing and is capable of forming an image having good properties and more particularly a high contrast.
CONSTITUTION: This photographic material includes at least one layers contg. direct position silver halide emulsions subjected to spectral sensitization with at one or more kinds of electron receptive sensitizing dyes and subjected to prefogging processing in a total amt. of at least 0.15millimol/mol silver halide on a base. The direct position silver halide crystals subjected to the prefogging processing contain silver chloride in at least a range of 60mol%, silver bromide 0.5 to 39.98mol% and silver iodide 0.02 to 2mol%. The material has pH of max. 7 at 25°C. The silver halide crystals contain silver iodide in an amt. of 0.20millimol/mol AgX in outer 10wt.% of the crystals and the layer thereof contains Ca2+-contg. gelatin species in an amt. of a range of 0.2 to 1wt.%.
