Abstract:
To obtain a sufficient speech recognition ratio even if an inputted speech changes depending upon whether a microphone built in a navigation remote controller is put close to and away from a mouth.
The speech input device equipped with a portable microphone detects a user putting the microphone 9 built in the navigation remote controller 7 close to the mouse so as to input a voice and then changes voice input characteristics by making the amplification factor of an input signal or the directivity of the microphone 9 narrow.
