A construction machine is provided with an operation panel 60, sensors 67 for detecting a driving status, a display monitor 10, and a display control part 70 for receiving outputs from the operation panel 60 or detection results by the sensors 67 and performing desired displays on the monitor 10, and is also arranged to comprise a microphone 61, a loudspeaker 62, a speech recognition part 71 for speech-recognizing the speech command inputted from the microphone 61, a decision part 72 for deciding processing contents corresponding to the recognition command based on the recognition command recognized by the speech recognition part 71, and a speech display control part 73 for making the loudspeaker 62 perform desired speech displays by speech synthesis.
