PURPOSE: To prevent only a specific cylinder from getting in overlean condition and also restrict generation of decelerating shock, etc., so as to increase driving performance by injecting fuel to each cylinder of engine independently and thinning fuel injection step by step to control the maximum speed.
CONSTITUTION: Intake air is introducted into each cylinder of engine 2 from an air cleaner 4 via an intake passage 6 comprising many intake passages from 6-1 to 6-3. In this case, a fuel injection valve 22 which injects fuel to each cylinder is arranged in a third intake passage 6-3. The fuel injection valve 22 is connected to a fuel pump 26 inside a fuel tank 24 via a fuel feed passage 28. Furthermore, various sensors 44, 48, 50 and 52 which detect the driving condition of the engine 2 are connected to a control means 54 respectively. The fuel injection valve 22 is controlled based on each detecting signal by the control means 54. Namely, injection of fuel is carried out for every cylinder independently and sequentially, and fuel injection is thinned step by step and the maximum speed is controlled when a vehicle speed and the number engine revolution come in their determined conditions.
