Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accurately detect the speed by reducing an operational error.
CONSTITUTION: The wheel speed detector 1 is equipped with a wheel speed sensor 2 leading out a pulse corresponding to the rotation of a wheel, a counter 3 counting a pulse until the number of pulses becomes a predetermined number (n), a timer 4 measuring the cycle (t) corresponding to (n) pulses and a speed operation part 5 calculating wheel speed on the basis of the cycle (t). The speed operation part 5 is constituted so as to include first-third operation parts 7-9. At first, the first operation part 7 multiplies the number (n) of pulses by a correction factor H for correcting the difference between the diameters of front and rear wheels and the second operation part 8 multiplies the operation result of the first operation part 7 by a conversion factor K. Herein, the conversion constant K is a constant for converting the operation result of the speed operation part 5 to the parameter of wheel speed. Continuously, the third operation part 9 divides the operation result of the second operation part 8 by the cycle (t) to calculate wheel speed.
