Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a forward/reverse speed shifting device which can surely engage/disengage a clutch with/from a gear, and also can smoothly and quickly engage the clutch with a rotating gear.
CONSTITUTION: The device includes a shift rod 22 which allows a first clutch 25 to be engaged/disengaged with/from a first or a second gear 9 or 10, also allows a second clutch 26 to be engaged/disengaged with/from the second gear, includes an operating member 41 transforming the aforesaid operations into the forward/reverse speed shifting operation, and connects a gear shifting rod to the operating means. And a distance between the first clutch and the first gear is made shorter than a distance between the second clutch and the second gear.
