Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the subject new particle having a composition composed of a specific polysiloxane containing various organic groups other than methyl group, exhibiting stable surface composition and suitable for water-repellence improving agent, slipperiness improving agent, etc., for cosmetics, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective particle is composed of a polysiloxane of formula {R<1> is Z(CH2)p [Z is NHR<3> (R<3> is H, phenyl, etc.), Cl, etc.; p is 2 or 3]; R<2> is >=2C alkyl, benzyl, etc.; l, m and n are ratios and l is 0-0.99 and m and n are 0-1; l+m+n=1; 0.01<=m+n<=1; m is not 0.001-0.4 when Z is NHR<3>, etc., l<0 and n=0}. The ratio of the major diameter to the minor diameter of the particle is <=1.2 and the average particle diameter is 0.1-100mum. The particle is produced preferably by condensing a trialkoxysilane (or its partial hydrolytic condensation product) in the presence of a siloxane-condensation catalyst in water or a lower alcohol at 30-100 deg.C.
