Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of a spherical phenol resin cured product, which sufficiently suppresses blocking, and can obtain a spherical resin cured product having bubbles inside thereof, and can appropriately adjust its amount of bubbles or density, and a method of manufacturing the spherical carbon and spherical activated carbon from the cured product.SOLUTION: A spherical resol type phenol resin having water therein in a dispersed state in an aqueous medium is heated to 105 to 200°C under pressure during resin formation pressured to 127 to 1471 kPa (gauge pressure) to cure. The spherical resol type phenol resin, in an aqueous medium, under the presence of a condensation reaction catalyst and an emulsifying dispersant, phenols and aldehyde are condensation reacted under pressure during resin generation pressured to normal pressure or 125 kPa (gauge pressure) at a temperature equal to or lower than a boiling point of water under pressure during resin formation.SELECTED DRAWING: None
