Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce a maintenance frequency and to eliminate an interference with the other machine by using a connecting apparatus between an apparatus for transferring a roll in the axial direction of the roll and a spindle in common as the connecting function and a feeding function of a lubricating oil. CONSTITUTION:A project block 8 is fitted on a driving side housing 2, further, a frame 10 of a transferring apparatus in the axial direction of the roll (shifting apparatus) is fitted. Then, an operation of the shifting device is performed by a shifting cylinder 9 fitted on a slider 11 sliding on the frame. The connecting apparatus 14 is one part of the slider 11 and connected to the spindle 7, further, a bearing 18 is built in this apparatus 14. Therefore, the apparatus 14 is not rotated and always inserted in the slider 11 part of the shifting apparatus. Further, the lubricating to a slipper metal 17 is performed from a part A of the apparatus 14 by way of the bearing 18 through a lubricating oil feeding hole 16. Such a constitution eliminates a setting space because any piping for the lubricating oil is not projected outside and it is excellent in safety.
