Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled fibers suitable for producing nonwoven fabrics and excellent in thermobondability even by a short spinning apparatus by specifying a real or equivalent output hole diameter of a spinning die.

CONSTITUTION: The real or equivalent output hole diameter of the spinning die is made to have over 0.5 mm, particularly 0.5 to 2 mm. The ratio of the output hole diameter to the fiber denier is made to be over 0.06 mm/dtex, preferably over 0.1 mm/dtex when producing fibers having over 4 dtex. This spinning method is useful for producing thermobonable polyolefin fibers having 0.2 to 10 dtex, particularly 0.5-3 dtex, fineness.
