To enhance durability of a chip for a spinning saw by curbing the heating of the chip through reduction of friction resistance in cut scraps on the cutting face of each chip by forming a grinding streak extending from the tip of the cutting face to the base portion.
In the spinning saw with chips in which many chips (13) are set in the circumferential direction around a disk-shaped base metal (11), a grinding streak (K1), extending from the tip of a cutting face (13a) of each chip (13) to its based portion, is formed. While a small-diameter grinding stone (15), which can be engaged with a gap part (A) between blade stands (12), adjoining in the circumferential direction as shown in Fig. 1, is revolved with its center line running almost in parallel with the rotational center line of the base metal (11), the grinding stone is arranged to grind the cutting face (13a) of each chip after the stone is transferred roughly to the radius direction of the base metal (11). Through such activities, a grind streak (K1), extending from the tip of the cutting face (13a) to its base direction, is formed.
