Title:
SPIRALLY CRIMPED YARN AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6321913
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the titled crimped yarn containing mutually fused neighboring fibers, having improved elongation restoration ratio, providing cloth with improved crispy feeling, providing synthetic yarn spun at high speed with a finishing oil by a specific method before cooling and solidification, collecting the yarn, drawing and taking up.

CONSTITUTION: An oiling means 4 is brought into contact with synthetic yarn multifilaments spun at high speed right below a spinneret from one side of the multifilament before cooling and solidification under pressure, the multifilament is provided with preferably 1W7wt% finishing oil (preferably emulsion type hydrous finishing oil), collected and neighboring fibers are fused in the longer direction. In the operation, the contact part of the oiling means 4 is quenched and the other side is naturally cooled, so shrinkage stain is produced. Then the multifilament is drawn and taken up to give the aimed crimped yarn. The position to carry out oiling is preferably a position to satisfy a correlation shown by the formula 50G+10≤D≤50G+75 when the distance between the spinneret and the oiling means is Dcm and the amount of a polymer extruded per filament is Gg/min.
