NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I [A is formula II or III (B is O, S or substitutable CH2; R5 is H or protecting Group of OH; R6 is H, alkoxy, OH, protected OH, alkylthio, halogen or, together with H of CH2, forms single bond when B is CH2; (m) is 1 or 2); R1 and R2 together may form substitutable 5-to 6membered heterocyclic ring; R3 and R4 are H or protecting group of OH] and salts thereof.
EXAMPLE: (2R,3R,4R,5R)-2-Benzyloxymethyl-3,4-isopropylidenedioxy-7-methyl-1,8- dioxa-6-azaspiro[4.4]non-6-ene.
USE: A herbicide capable of exhibiting excellent selectivity between crops and weeds.
PREPARATION: For example, 5-O-benzyl-1,2:3,4-di-O-isopropylidene-β-D- psicofuranose is dissolved in acetonitrile and trimethylsilyl azide and trimethylsilyl triflate are added and reacted therewith to afford the exemplified compound.
