Abstract:
To provide a splicer for synthetic yarns capable of suppressing lowering of the tensile elongation of an entangled part, and at the same time, capable of suppressing the variation of decreases in the tensile elongation.SOLUTION: A splicer 1 for synthetic yarns comprises: a yarn splicing part 10 having a chamber 14 that forms a space in which a first yarn Y1 and a second yarn Y2 are insertable, and an injection hole 16a that injects air; and a first holding mechanism 20 and a second holding mechanism 30 that are disposed at positions sandwiching the chamber 14 of the yarn splicing part 10, and which holds each of the first yarn Y1 and the second yarn Y2 which are inserted in the space. The cross section of the chamber 14 formed on a plane orthogonal to the penetration direction of the chamber 14 is circular in shape. A first straight line passing through the center C of the chamber 14 and connecting inner circumference faces 14a of the chamber 14 and a second straight line passing through the center C of the chamber 14 and connecting inner circumference faces 14a of the chamber 14, which is orthogonal to the first straight line, are 4.0 to 7.0 mm in length.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
