Abstract:
To provide an optical fiber splicing device that facilitates splicing of optical fibers.
A groove 40 for fitting optical fibers is formed in a base 20, wherein the groove 40 has a shape of a cylinder notched in part. At least in a part of the inside of the groove 40, there is formed a space having a wider width than the width d1 of the opening 42 in the upper face 22 of the base 20. An optical fiber is pushed in from above this groove 40 and fixedly fitted. An adhesive is dispensed with, and the optical fiber can also be taken out easily.
