To provide a method for enabling simultaneous splicing of a light guide and an electrical conductive part in splicing of an opto-electric composite line.
The method for splicing a metal loading optical fiber interposes an anisotropic conductive film capable of generating electric conductivity in only a transparent and pressing direction between cross sections of a metal loading optical fiber for a pair of the metal loading optical fibers having a metal region buried in an inside or loaded on a surface continuously in a longitudinal direction, and optically and electrically splices the metal loading optical fibers. Since conductive particles 25 are not in contact with other conductive particles during absence of compression force, the anisotropic conductive film 24 interposed between end faces to be joined realizes an electric continuity by having a state where the conductive particles 25 are in contact with each other by holding to sandwich the inside of the anisotropic conductive film 24 from both the sides in order to splice the opto-electric composite line. A light guide region of the anisotropic conductive film 24 can maintain a transparency of light since an optical path distance is short.
