PURPOSE: To provide a heddle which does not require space washers, is provided with a width in the permissible errors of the metallic strip of the heddle and facilitates maintenance.

CONSTITUTION: Two blades 30 and 40 have holes 34 and 44 at their ends, and slots 33 and 34 exist on one side of these holes and grooves 35 and 45 on the opposite side thereof. The blades, superimposed on each other, have a relative shape forming one channel, i.e., a through-groove, extending in a common opening and closing direction by the engagement of the one groove with the slot of the other blade. Yarn is passed through the central hole described above and is rotated 180°, by which the yarn is captured into the channel.
