Title:
SPLIT SLEEVE FOR OPTICAL CONNECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3318472
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide good split sleeves for optical connectors which do not induce the overlap of the split sleeves on each other and consequently prevent the flawing of their bores at the time of bulk transportation at the time of shipping of split sleeve products or in spite of bulk washing before assembling to adapters and prevent the comer parts of the slits from damaging housings during the use of the optical connectors by building the split sleeves into the adapter housings.
SOLUTION: The thickness (d) of at least part of the cylindrical body of the split sleeve S constituting the cylindrical body longitudinally formed with the continuous slit 1 from the one end to the other end is formed to a slit width (t) or above in order to prevent the damage of the bone of the split sleeve S. Further, the slit 1 is formed nonlinear on the other flank thereof. The slit width (t) of the slit 1 on this other flank is formed to ≤0.35mm in order to prevent the damage of the housing.
