PURPOSE: To obtain a sponge rubber composition having excellent processability in production, good foamability at high temperatures and excellent feeling to touch and sealing property, by using a specified ethylene/α-olefin/ nonconjugated diene copolymer rubber as a component.
CONSTITUTION: A sponge rubber composition containing an ethylene/α-olefin/ nonconjugated diene copolymer which can satisfy the following conditions (a)W(d) as a component. (a): the ethylene content to α-olefin content ratio (by weight) of the copolymer rubber is 70/30W40/60, (b): the amount of unsaturation of the copolymer is 15W45 in terms of an iodine value, (c): the Mooney viscosity (ML1+8 at 120°C) is 50W110 and (d) the boiling toluene-insoluble component is 1W50wt%. The α-olefin used in the copolymer is a 3W12C α-olefin, preferably, propylene.
